Tema Track
Shipment visibility dashboard for Turkey–Ghana freight
Concept preview — real design is developed project-specific
The Problem
A Turkish exporter ships a container to Tema Port. Then silence. Calls to the freight forwarder. Unanswered WhatsApp messages. No one knows where the container is or when it will clear customs. This costs $220/day in demurrage when containers are held.
The Solution
A simple dashboard showing real-time container status — from departure port to Tema Port clearance. Automated WhatsApp alerts at each milestone. Exporters and their Ghana-side agent both have visibility, in their own language.
Core Features
Container tracking from Turkish port to Tema Port clearance
Milestone-based WhatsApp alerts (Departed / Arrived / In Customs / Cleared)
Demurrage risk calculator — days until demurrage begins
Document checklist per shipment (HS code, COO, PVOC, etc.)
Shared dashboard access for exporter + Ghana clearing agent
Historical shipment log with customs notes
Integrated GRA customs status feed
Design Rationale
These decisions weren't made to look good — they were made because of real user behaviour in this corridor.
Single Number at the Top
The dashboard hero shows one number in large type: Days until demurrage. This is the only thing the exporter actually cares about when a shipment is in transit. Everything else is secondary. We design information hierarchy around urgency, not completeness.
WhatsApp Alerts Replace Dashboards
Most logistics dashboards fail because users don't log in daily. We push milestone alerts via WhatsApp — the one app everyone checks. The dashboard is the record; WhatsApp is the notification. This pattern has 3× higher engagement than email-based tracking.
Turkish Labels, Ghanaian Data Sources
The Turkish exporter sees labels in Turkish; the Ghanaian clearing agent sees labels in English. But the underlying data — Tema Port arrival logs, GRA clearance status — comes from Ghanaian sources. The platform bridges the data gap and the language gap simultaneously.
Demurrage Is the Business Case
The ROI calculation is simple: if the platform prevents one demurrage event per year, it pays for itself 10× over. We make this math visible in the sales flow — a demurrage cost simulator that uses the client's actual shipping frequency to calculate annual savings.
Let's Build This

This concept was built from real client needs in the Turkey–Ghana corridor. Let's talk about building similar digital presence or market tools.
